Job Description

The Post-Production Supervisor oversees the entire post-production of a film project and works directly for the producer, independent of external service providers.

He/she works with production, direction and the heads of the various departments. Responsibilities include completing the film within the set time and budget, while meeting the creative objectives and technical requirements. Each film has its own dynamics, which means that the processes are constantly adapted to the circumstances of the project. The focus of the work is within the post-production period, up to and including the delivery of the final materials. Workflow planning and budgeting often begin before the shooting.

Typical tasks include planning, workflow, budgeting and organization of the post-production processes.

This involves managing all processes and communicating with the various disciplines within post-production, including:

  • Sample / digital lab
  • Backup of recording data
  • Image editing
  • Sound design, editing and mixing
  • Coordination with the VFX supervisor
  • Colour correction (grading)
  • Title design
  • Film music
  • Delivery of final materials
  • Archiving

Julia Rombout

After graduating from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2015, Julia has worked as an independent producer and freelance post production supervisor ever since. Thanks to her experience in both fields, she knows exactly what a producer needs; from preparations and budgeting to final delivery. With her broad expertise, she ensures efficient and creative post production. Julia mainly focuses on feature films and documentaries.

Rosanne Fontaine

Rosanne Fontaine holds a bachelor’s degree in art and economics and a master’s degree in modern art history. After working in the art industry for several years, her interest in art and commercial photography led her to filmmaking.

She initially worked on set as a production manager but later transitioned to post-production and became an in-house post-producer for various post-production facilities in Amsterdam. In 2019, she began working as a freelance post-production supervisor, wanting to be more involved in the creative process as part of the crew.

As a post-production supervisor, she has worked on various feature films and high-end series in the Netherlands and abroad.

Daan Janssen

Daan Janssen has a background as editor, DI Intermediate and in-house producer at post houses FeverFilm and Redline and was subsequently Head of post production at production company Halal (now 100%). Since 2024, Daan has been a freelance post supervisor for both fiction and non-fiction films and series. Films Daan was involved in last year include “The Secret Agent” (Kleber Mendonça Filho), “Nuestra Tierra (Lucrecia Martel)” en “House of Hope” (Marjolein Busstra).

Neeltje van der Heijden

Freelance post-production supervisor and consultant for features, documentaries, and series. Active in post since 2006, with a focus on complex and internationally co-produced projects, often involving VFX. Co-owner of APostLab, a European training initiative and global network for producers and post supervisors. Active as a trainer and mentor at international workshops & festivals. Kadèr Akbayir

Extensive experience as a post-production supervisor in film, television, and streaming, with an eye for both process and story.
Strong in managing post-production processes and connecting creative and technical disciplines.
Driven, communicative, and always focused on a single goal: a strong end result, meticulously crafted.

Eefje van der Beele

Eefje van der Beele graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy in 2012 and has been working in post-production ever since. At VICE, she developed into the role of Senior Director Post Production, leading the European post team and collaborating on international films and series with colleagues in the US and Asia. Since 2024, she has been working as a freelance post-production supervisor on feature films, documentaries, and series.

Jochem van Rijs

As an international documentary filmmaker himself, Jochem is often asked for specific projects such as Arthouse, Boutique or Archive and or VFX Heavy media projects. Either to manage, advise or supervise the project. His combined experience as filmmaker and Post Supervisor gives him a unique advantage to oversee the whole project and streamline the post production accordingly. He has great references and is an absolute film nerd in the art, the process and tech of filmmaking. Has among others a Master in Film & Television Studies and absolutely loves analogue film making. Vera Allertz

Vera Allertz started her career in her early twenties as a production and directing assistant, gradually growing into a producer while occasionally taking on directing roles. For eight years, she worked as an in-house post producer at De Grot  a wonderful place where she learned everything about the post-production process for films, documentaries, and commercials. As of 2023, she has been working freelance as a post-production supervisor. In addition, she continues to produce and direct a variety of projects. With her broad experience, Vera has a talent for connecting people, processes, and creativity to achieve a beautiful final result.

Jiska Samson

With experience in both production and post-production, Jiska has been active in the film and television world for quite some time. After studying Art and Economics at the HKU, she first worked at a casting agency, after which she made the transition to the set. There she grew to the position of production manager on various projects. In 2021, she moved from the set to post-production, driven by her interest in the further production process. Since then, she has gained extensive experience as a freelancer in post-production.

In recent years, Jiska has worked on numerous high-end series and feature films, including Anoniem (seasons 1 and 2), The Golden Hour (season 1), De Vuurwerkramp, Onze Jongens 3, Neem Me Mee and De F*ckulteit.

Kim Klaase

Kim has been passionately working on film projects for more than 25 years. She worked as a line producer for some time until she discovered that post production is actually the most fun part. It is a joy to work with ambitious teams on great projects and to complete them to everyone’s satisfaction down to the last detail. With her broad experience, Kim has successfully delivered many (high-end) tv series and feature films for various platforms. Some of which include some wonderful singing and dancing.
